Katara Towers Project in Lusail City, Qatar

A new luxury hotel complex is emerging on Qatar’s coast – Katara Towers. An architectural symbol of hospitality to be ready for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In addition to hotel rooms, the twin towers, which are just over 200 m high, will also contain apartments, offices, leisure facilities and restaurants.

GRP Panel Insulating Process

Potaglas insulated panel has achieved the consistent foamed rigid polyurethane layer with the lowest thermal conductivity by using the advanced PU injecting machine.

The insulated outer cover / skin is made of hot compression moulding process with the same material as used in the GRP panels which is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, weather-resistant and watertight. It is fully complying to ADWEA (Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority) – Guide to Water Supply Regulations.

Many insulation panels from other manufacturers often using thermoplastic ABS skin which is not suitable for severe weather situation.
